It's no secret that I love architecture. The older the better. While Melanie and I were driving along Old HWY 169 near Jordan, Minnesota, we came across this wonderful fixer-upper, and if I'm not mistaken, fixing up is exactly what's happening there. I expect this dignified old house will be restored to a place of grandeur shortly.

We followed the signs to the Minnesota Harvest Orchard and I was surprised to find apples still on the trees, looking beautiful in a whole new way.

We drove into the city of Jordan, itself, where we saw a lot more historic, if not quaint, architecture, antique shops and dining.

I ended up embarrassing myself at Grandma's Attic antique shop where Melanie watched me with mild surprise as I started getting into a strange car next to hers after snapping the above photo, and wondering where she had gone. Oops. I'm sure there are times when Melanie wonders just what I'm going to do next. I'm sorry to say, not even I know the answer to that question.
