Last Sunday on the Pomme de Terre River was great -- 25 people with all sorts of different kayaks and canoes.  See photos below.  You shoulda been there.
There's more cool stuff to do in the Upper Minnesota River Watershed coming up.  Mark your calendars:

Sept.  21,  1:00 p.m. CURE Sponsored Crazy Kayak Race on the Pomme de Terre River in Appleton as part of Applefest

Sept. 23,   6:00 p.m.  A Minnesota River Celebration at the new Hilton Hotel in Mankato featuring local food and networking between anyone who has ever cared about the river that bears our State's name.  John Cross and Tim Kron from the Mankato Free Press will be there to talk about their recent trip down the river.  Everyone is welcome -- it is free!  Come and get connected.  For more infomation, contact Scott Kudelka of the Minnesota River Watershed Alliance at 507-389-2304.

Sept. 28 is River Sunday -- we are looking for folks who are interested in celebrating their eco-spirituality down by the river.  Reply to this e-mail if you want to brainstorm how we can commemorate this occasion.

October 3, 4 & 5 is the 5th Annual Meander -- the Upper Minnesota river Arts Crawl.  Plan on driving around the beautiful countryside and visit local artists in their home studios.  This is a great event!  To receive a free brochure, call 1.866.866.5432 or visit: http://www.artsmeander.com/

We love living here.  The rivers, the people, the lifestyle -- all add up to a quality of life that can't be beat.
