My friend Melanie thought it would be fun to stop at the Eagle Creek Quilt Shop, located in an old depot in Shakopee, Minnesota.  Oh my goodness.  It was incredible.

I honestly couldn't choose one specific quality of the quilt shop that appealed to me the most.  I just know that when I walked into this delightful place, with it's high ceilings and old wooden floor, I was smitten.

The fabrics, thread and sewing kits were a kaleidoscope of color.  You don't have to be a quilter or crafts-person to visit the Eagle Creek Quilt Shop, but there's a fairly good chance that, by the time you leave, you'll find yourself well on your way to being one.

I wandered into the classroom where a quilting class was going on.  I would love to have had a hefty mug of coffee in my hands and sat in the midst of them.  I imagine quilters to be a special group of people - wholesome, industrious and creative.

I wonder if our good friend Sandi Andersen, from Henderson ever shops there?  If not, get on the stick, Sandi.  This place is fabulous!
